EMBODIED SUCCESS: A SOMATIC THERAPY WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
Register today for the Highland Park Chamber's next Young Professional Group meet up on Wednesday, May 28th at 5 PM, happening at The Custom Framer of Highland Park! We're thrilled to welcome Erica Hornthal, "The Therapist Who Moves You" and founder and CEO of Chicago Dance Therapy.
In the fast-paced world of business, young professionals often find themselves caught in the pressure to perform, lead, and succeed. But what if the key to unlocking your fullest potential lies not just in your mind, but in your body?
This immersive workshop, *Embodied Success*, combines the principles of somatic therapy with practical business strategies to help you unlock more sustainable success. You will explore how your body’s responses, posture, and breath influence your decision-making, creativity, stress levels, and overall productivity.
Whether you're navigating a challenging project, a leadership role, or simply striving for a healthier work-life balance, this workshop will give you the tools to thrive—not just survive.
Please note that the program will start promptly at 5:30 PM, so we recommend arriving early to avoid missing any part of it.
Chamber members and non-members are welcome! This group is intended for professionals of the age 40-and-under. You do not need to work or live exclusively in Highland Park.
About the Presenter
Erica Hornthal
Erica Hornthal, known as "The Therapist Who Moves You" is a board-certified dance/movement therapist and licensed clinical professional counselor. She is the founder and CEO of Chicago Dance Therapy and author of the award-winning book, Body Aware.
As a licensed talk therapist, Erica knows that words only get us so far. Whereas, if we’re willing to tap into its power, the body can take us the rest of the way as we process emotions and strengthen our mental health.
Erica is spearheading this movement by moving you. Dance/Movement Therapy comes in, providing the structure and space for people to truly listen to their bodies. This practice isn’t about being a perfect dancer and it’s not just a way to let loose and have fun. It’s learning that movement is life — our movements influence our thoughts, which influence our behavior, which makes us who we are.
